Puppies compete to destroy yet another towel.  (Note that Boris keeps his tennis ball close by no matter what he's doing.)

Gardener unabashedly shows off Clematis 'Wisley' yet again.

 Being competitive?  For shame! Pride goeth before the fall.  I have no reason to be proud--'Wisley' did all the work.  I just took the pictures.  I promise, I promise, no more 'Wisley' until next year.  Well...just one more, okay?

  1. It sounds maybe stupid but does the agave also bring flowers? Love to see the puppy's playing. I remember my newfoundland dog did the same with the new shrubs my brother planted in his garden. And I can't tell you the look in the my dog eayes how proud he was he digged all the new shrubs out. My brother did not feel happy about it. What a huge and fantastic clematis your are showing.
    Have a nice sunday Hoover.

  3. I'm curious how far the two Agaves are from each other (perhaps a handtowels length?)

  6. I love plants, but I think I like dogs more, and those pups made me smile.

  7. How did I guess there was some white fur in the post when I started it? Great contrast you show of the Agave pup, the A. lophantha.

  8. @marijke, yes the agaves bloom with a great towering spike of flowers, and then die. They leave behind many children to carry on. We look back on puppy exploits with amusement, but it never seems that funny at the time!

    @Spiky, I'm okay with the puppies NOT competing! Little chance of that happening, though. ;)

    @danger, they are about 3' apart.

    @Crystal, @greggo, thanks!

    @dianne, the puppies have grown. When you see them every day, you don't really realize it.

    @Les, thanks!

    @Desert, there is white fur everywhere, I must pick it off the plants before I take pictures!
