Acacia merinthophora, Zig Zag Wattle

This Acacia has phyllodes acting as leaves.  Phyllodes are modified petioles.  A petiole is what joins a leaf to a stem.  Okay, botany lesson over.   Photobucket

Acacia merinthophora forms an airy, open, weeping shrub about 10 feet (3 M) tall.

No, I didn't buy one.  As Spock said, "Having is not so pleasing a thing as wanting. It is not logical,  but it is often so."   The wanting of that Wattle is a very pleasing thing.
