  1. These pics are so beautiful that they don't look real. And that's ridiculous because they're photos. Love this idea of surrounding your garbage can with intoxicating scented jasmine. We have to use the same ones in our community and we have an equally hideous looking recycling bin, both of which I'm always trying to hide, mask, whatever. Garbage cans are so ugly and you managed to make them somewhat less icky.

    1. It does make trips to put trash in the bins something to look forward to at this time of year.

  2. Beautiful flower images dear in the early morning light dear Hoover. What is that beautiful coral/red flower with the star jasmine in photo #3? I love the fragrance of Trachelospermum jasminoides, the flowers and the foliage,my favourite jasmine.

    1. I had to have a good look to figure out what that was. That is the foliage of the nearby Japanese Maple. My favorite jasmine as well. It is very easy here if given the right location (some shade, some sun).

  4. Your photos are always fantastic but the picture of the Clematis is incredible! I'm glad some of your roses made it through that miserable heat. It's 83F here now but, by comparison to earlier this week, that actually feels cool to me.

    1. It was so fun to go outside today. I missed being out there. When 83 feels cool, you know it's been miserable. I am hoping for a good long stretch of May Gray.

  5. Lovely photos, and what a great idea. I have my bins in my front garden and unfortunately that area has tarmac so I can only have pots and containers there. I do have many containers, but it does restrict what I can grow of course. Your ‘Old Port’ is lovely :-)

    1. Thanks Helene! 'Old Port' is hard to find here. It's a very pretty rose, unfortunate that it is not more available. At least your climate is more friendly to potted plants on tarmac--here they would bake.

  6. Thank you dear Hoover, the foliage is a lovely colour.

  7. One of my pet projects (if I ever get around to it): make even the eyesores into oases of beauty. Your garbage area is inspirational.
