"To Boldly Grow Where No Man Had Lawn Before"
i absolutely agree. I have never seen crape myrtles looking so good as this year, brilliant, bountiful blooms and no mildew.
I don't care if they are common or not, they are wonderful!
It's absolutely gorgeous. I've been wary of Lagerstroemia because they always seemed to mildew in the beach city I used to live in but there are some beautiful specimens (grown as shrubs) just down the street so I'm rethinking my position on them.
They like heat. We are just enough inland here to largely escape the mildew.
Excellent choice, which looks like it wasn't really a choice at all - but rather a demand.
A very undemanding tree, I must say. Compelling, call it.
That huge Lagerstroemia looks gorgeous, it´s always wonderful to watch plants in other gardens all over the world which won´t grow in our cool and humid climate.
Cool and humid sounds wonderful right now. I envy your walks in your foggy fields...
