"To Boldly Grow Where No Man Had Lawn Before"
But in a good way?
That is far more brilliant than it ought to be.I love playing with dead plant matter: oversized and now skeletonized flower stems, bulbous root crowns, thorny canes. Cactguy hosted a fall earth sculpture event last year that used such materials to great effect, and who can forget Floramagoria's orange bamboo? I've done the same with the thickest canes off a Dahlia imperialis. Apart from rooting when you don't want them to (and that's after a season or two's worth of drying out), they're a nice, if flimsier substitute.
I have several Aloe marlothii flower skeletons. Candelabras!
and thanks for the link. Cool stuff.
Good humour has replaced the loss. I said Cousin Itt instantly then I read your caption!
It made me feel a lot better.
Fantastic! =D Nice way of turning a negative into a positive, albeit a short-termed one!
That lemons -> lemonade thingy.
Thanks for the morning laugh! Cousin Itt looks quite fetching in his western garb! Love Itt!
Maybe a toy gunbelt, so Itt can be an Outlaw, too?
OMG...you nailed it. So So So excellent!
This is BRILLIANT! I got a good laught out of it. Absolutely perfect for Halloween.
A little whimsy is a good thing.
So very clever! It's perfect.
I thought the Elvis cape would be going to far. ;^)
Good idea to give your Yucca linearifolia a second life, so funny.
Happy you liked it!
Awesome! I love it (Itt)!
Itt's better this way.
I love Itt! I don't suppose you can hang on to it for use in future years?
I'm wondering/hoping if Itt can come back from a root. I got a new 'Bright Star' and several dozen 'Margaritaville' that way.
Have been gathering images of spooky-looking plants on a pin board, but this one won't make the cut because Itt just makes me laugh too hard. Brilliant save. Hope the Y. linearifolia can come back, though I imagine that would be a multi-year process?
Not more than a decade, I should think. But worth the wait, surely!
Oh, that is simply BRILLIANT!!!! And it made me laugh - love it! :D
Happy you liked it!
OMG, ZZ Top is in your garden!! And the plants in the background frame him (Itt?) perfectly. An absolute scream ;~)
All kinds of screams are good for Halloween. :^)
Love it!! Very clever. :o)
