Random photos for a Sunday morning. Aloe zubb (formerly Aloe sinkatana) above, the yellow flowered form. Below the truly ugly flowers of Senecio mandraliscae, but the bees adore them, so they stay. Love bees!
The last flowers on Echeveria 'Misty Violet'.
The Aloe 'Cynthia Gitty' clump, 4' across, has produced a crop of flower stems over 5' tall. Happy hummers. They were fighting over these, but escaped being in the photo.
Crassula perfoliata var falcata in bloom. It looks better--it's mostly rooted.
A few months ago, when I pulled it out of the ground and cleaned it all up and cut off all the dried stuff and took the best stems and stuck them in this pot to re-root.
The healthy copy of Lagerstroemia 'Dynamite' begins to flower. Golly gumdrops it's gorgeous!
Gomphrena 'Fireworks' forms an airy see-through screen. Great plant!
The lone seedling of Trachelium cerulaeum that came up in a potted Agave...couldn't move it, got a few flowers from it. Maybe I'll get some seeds next year. It's a good plant, too.
That's Sunday miscellany.

ReplyDeleteGracias! :)
DeleteYour Sunday morning flowers look great! So many flowers on your Crassula perfoliata.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think the Crassula is celebrating being out of the hot hot sun.
DeleteDear Hoover, it's always a pleasure to see your beautiful plants and flowers. The tall Aloe and Crassula are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteHugs and a happy week!
xoxoxo. ♥️
Hugs, Dianne!
DeleteLove the Gomphrena 'Fireworks'! Lately I am very much into airy, see-through plants. They so helpful in a small garden. I might try to find that one at our local nurseries and give it a try in my yard. Thanks for featuring and making me aware of it!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice rest of the Sunday!
Christina
I highly recommend the 'Fireworks'--I bought a $3 6-pak, very well worth the $3.
DeleteI have a Trachelium that is coming out--will save you some seeds if you need them. They're getting onto all my potted plants and taking over. Water greedy!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the offer, teejay, but I will pass--I spread seeds everywhere and only that one came up. Grrrr! Maybe if we ever get a rainy winter again, I will suddenly have seedlings everywhere.
DeleteI love that Aloe zubb flower. Crassula makes a perfect pot subject.
ReplyDeleteIt's one of the Aloes that reblooms off/on year round, if watered. A good plant.
DeleteThe Crassula does not like full sun here.
I love spending Sunday morning in your church of flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe things we do for bees!
Because they are awesome. :)
DeleteYour posts are like a shopping list! Must get a Gomphrena 'Fireworks'.
ReplyDeleteIt's an excellent "weaver" through other plants.
