I took some photos in the glaring bright,
but it was in the shade I worked.
Moved the Brunfelsia, and Hellebore seedlings,
Repaired the shovel-sliced dripper pipe,
Planted the last pot-languishing Euonymus
where it will thrive.
Scheduled the old pond electrical removal,
Called about dryrot, reworked a spreadsheet (not fun, but necessary),
Repotted the little aloe that is pupping, (not necessary, but fun),
Stripped the Rusty leaves off Abe D.
And the Blackspot off the Bishop
All to be happily and innocently
busy.
The day before there were clouds
The clouds were in the pond,
Or were the koi in the sky?
But that was the day before.
In the glaring winter heat
the succulents shone and whitened.
Nothing at all like snow.
Can't figure which are more poetic...your words or your photos.
ReplyDeleteWe just had 3 inches of snow fall yesterday in our world. Thanks for the reminder that there is warmth and color and life out there! Beautiful photos. Thanks for the treat.

I really love your koi photos. They have an almost painting-like quality. So cool!
