Still at it.  Beloved kindly helped me today with the rose pruning.  Does your sweetheart help you in the garden?

  1. Want to come help us prune roses at the Huntington? ;) I think we have about another two weeks' worth to do, working every day...

  2. It must be hard to cut back those roses when you still have beautiful blooms - or have you filled vases all over the house? For my part, I went back to work on the hideous front hedge - and my husband did come through with some aid with the tough bits.

  3. Bishop's Castle a lovely rose! So nice your sweetheart helped you on rose pruning. I have to do this all by myself, but I am very grateful to my husband as he does the trimming of the hedges. Our roses are still in rest, pruning time starts earliest in March.
    Happy gardening!

    1. Ah, husbands seem to be handy for hedges! Why is that?

    2. Because he can't do any harm on hedges, haha.

  4. Does my sweetheart help me? No, I help him!
    Actually it's more of a divide-and-conquer methadology.

  5. My sweetheart "helps" me until I beg him to stop. The only solution is to have separate areas that are ours alone.
