This is the fire in the Cleveland National Forest? It's always scary to see that smoke on the horizon. I hope the firefighters get it under control this evening and that you can get some rest.
They are still at it this morning with more crews at work. Not much wind, that is the good part. We can see the fire authority helicopters going that way.
It doesn't appear to be a bad one. The worst fires happen when the winds are strong. There is little wind today. They've put 500 firefighters on it this morning; hopefully they'll get it under control without injury.
I dread a sight like that and the choking smoke. I'm so glad it's moving away from you dear Hoover. I am actually dreading this Summer, we are on high fire danger alert already and its just the beginning of Spring. Keep safe! xoxoxo ♡
I know how you feel, as we are ready for the fire season which is fall here. Nervous for everyone's safety. I hope your Summer proves to be very mild and safe.
Amazing, even in fire season, and that smell can be intense. At least I've lived where it's dry enough that there's little to burn and catch / move into town . Glad you're safe from it.

But what a smoke plume it's making heading northwest! Cough! cough! Itchy eyes .Scratchy throat. Bronzey sun.

ReplyDeleteLittle to burn...whoa! I guess that is something...
DeleteI'll take my chances with hurricanes, you can keep the wildfires.
ReplyDeleteI do admit, hurricanes bring rain! Better than ash.
