  1. Great photo of that bloom. It is a difficult one to photograph. I wish I could grow Angel Wings. I looked it up and it isn't for my zone.

    1. Thank you, Lisa.

'Angel Wings' is said to be a very easy house plant, if you do indoor plants. I'm pretty bad at indoor plants.

  2. I have to admit, I'm often at a loss as to what to do with gray or silvery foliage. I bought 'Angel Wings' this year too -- it seems to be this year's "it" plant. But I haven't done anything with it other than keep it watered.

    1. Yeah, it sticks out like a sore thumb, but what a gorgeous sore thumb it is!

  3. So pretty! The flower looks like the one on my 'Afterglow'. My own E. cante had never bloomed. It developed a long trunk with dry leaves and I recently cut and cleaned it up in the hope it'll regain it's former beauty someday.

    1. 'Afterglow' is a beauty; I killed it a couple of times. Now is a good time to be decapitating and re-rooting long-necked Echeverias, I've done several so far.

My cante would be far better off in the ground, but a better place for in-ground Echeverias must come first.

      Hope you are staying cool.

  4. Love silver foliage, but always struggle with finding a spot with enough sun to keep them happy. That Centaurea looks fantastic - very intriguing! Haven't seen it up here yet, but will keep my eyes peeled for it now that it's gone on the ever growing wish list!

    1. Too much sun here, I sometimes think. It makes for a hot summer, and it is hot enough already. It's a beautiful plant, I hope you can try it one day.

    1. I pulled out the macro lens for the Echeveria's picture. It's a striking plant.
