Unfocused:
That spot at the bottom of the stairway was ever-annoying, until it occured to me that the currently unoccupied tuteur might work. There. Now I'm more satisfied with the view down the stairs.
So many vertical lines. Perhaps a different color might make it stand out just a bit more, just enough to focus the eye a little more. I thought for a while about a small vine for shade to decorate the tuteur, but I need not limit the possibilities to vines, do I? What about draping the tower in Spanish Moss? Hanging pots on the inside of the tower and having sedums or echeverias draping downwards from it?
Now standing by the relocated tuteur, looking back up the stairs, one gets something like a mirror image.
When the 'Purple Splash' rose on the green tower grows a little more, to my deep and lasting satisfaction it will screen out the neighbor's window. The black metal arch framing the tower has a white rose ('Secret Garden Musk Climber') and white clematis ('Huldine') growing on it.
And when it comes to white, yesterday happened to be Boris and Natasha's six-month birthday. Happy day, dear puppies!
Natasha, looking sturdy:
Boris, looking blissful.
