Fog! I love fog. We get fog perhaps two days a year.

You'd think it was autumn, and not 80 degrees F a couple of days ago, with 80F predicted again for the day after the rain stops.
There's a few gallons of precious rain out in the collection buckets. I'll be dumping them on the roses tomorrow.

Beautiful garden images Hoover, the roses will enjoy that rainwater. I love rain, gloom and fog also, that chill in the air when the fog rises from the valley and brings with it the fresh fragrance of the eucalypts. Today was 36degrees C and tomorrow a predicted 41degrees C, we need some good, soaking rain desperately.

ReplyDeleteHope you got some decent rain out of it, esp. with 80-ish returning. I would have guessed you got more fog that that...even we get more mornings of fog. Your plants look happy or ready to rest (almost fall-ish on that 2nd pic)!
So Cal used to get lots and lots of fog...now with so much paved over, it's far less--just right along the coast where the ocean can provide the moisture. 5 miles inland and more, just not there anymore. Asphalt and concrete holds no moisture. When the local news shows the shots from the traffic helicopters, you can see scattered areas of fog over what open fields remain. :(

If you want to swap houses I'll happily oblige. You would get all the fog and rain your can handle. The house even comes with a dog ;)

DeleteI wish the weather had been a bit more evenly distributed this year, we have been struggling with flood over here in Britain the last 2 weeks. We have a short rest bite at the moment, with a cold snap, but as soon as it starts raining again the saturated ground will flood over again. Here in London we have been spared flooded houses, but large parts of the rest of the country has been affected one way or the other. And I understand that over in the States you still haven’t caught up with the lack of rain from this spring and summer. Let’s hope 2013 brings some normal weather for us all, just boring, normal weather!

DeleteYour plants and roses lookes so wonderful in the fog. Overhere we had 2 weeks of thick fog very dangerous driving a car you could not see 50 meters ahead. I wish we had your temperatures overhere.

You like fog ? Really ? We usually get the pea-soup variety here in the UK in November. But this year we've opted for more rain instead. Not that we had any choice.
