A blue ribbon winner on staging plants for shows and display:
Two of the same plant, one in a plain black plastic pot, one costumed and made up for going out on the town.
The proper accessories...
The plant itself is the "talent"; cultivation and care the training and nurturing...
The container is the costume...
Everybody is a critic, after all...
But a star is always a star.

Lovely images dear Hoover, it's just like a fashion show for succulents.

DeleteHow fabulous! Love this
ReplyDeleteEducational, too. I went back through the show and pondered the choices made. The show was all the more interesting for it.
DeleteGreat!
ReplyDeleteI think you are another who would excel at this styling business.
DeleteWhat a great display, abd collect of pots. The plants are pretty good as well.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for a show--educational, no?
DeleteThis makes the pots and the plants even better than one or the other.
ReplyDeleteExactly!
DeleteGood staging and costumes can boost what's great in the the direction of fabulous. Growers living in the shadow of Hollywood have apparently learned the lesson well. Wonderful photos, as always.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kris. It was pleasing though, to see a special "Outstanding Merit" ribbon awarded to a plant in a plain black plastic nursery pot. It really was all about the plant.
