Right now, I have a tree crush on my new pyrus calleryana, whcih was planted last February. Because our back yard had no shade whatsoever, we spent a little extra to get a fairly tall pyrus. This is its first autumn, and I'm in love with its color! I can see it from the living room as well as from the kitchen, and I keep taking peeks to see the color change as the sun moves 'round the house.

Like a living sculpture, the only centerpiece you'll need.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you asked, my current plant crush is Leuchtenbergia principis and I'm thinking it would make a nice post too.
Leuchtenbergia principis! I love that plant--the cactus that looks like an Agave. Excellent choice, and please post. :)

Cool, Shirley!
DeleteIt's beautiful! I've never seen one with such a purple cast. Was it in the sun?
ReplyDeleteNo, I had just got through soaking it. It's whited up again, though there is a bit of purple left on the top.
DeleteIt's a beauty. Mine have never turned purple like that, soaking or sun. You've got the touch.
ReplyDeleteMaybe its sunnier here? Nah...
DeleteI thought it was a Dyckia at first, nice!
ReplyDeletePain-free version!
DeleteBeautiful! I just took some photos of my new(ish) Echeveria cante, which I'll post soon.
ReplyDeleteLove Echeveria cante!

ReplyDeleteI hope it gives you some good shade in the hot summers, Lady. It sounds lovely.
DeleteThe presentation is a large part of the charm.
ReplyDeleteIt looks just as good without a vase to sit on, honest!
