You and me both... Words fail me.
ReplyDeleteIn this galaxy, the Bothans were unable to steal the plans to the Death Star.
DeleteGot it! Me, too.
ReplyDeleteThe best lack all conviction, while the worst
DeleteAre full of passionate intensity.
Yah, that's how I feel. Like we've just been occupied by a hostile power.
ReplyDeleteThis, too shall pass. We hope.
Delete(I have seen the enemy and it is us?)
DeleteI saw some very similar faces on the news this morning. I'd hoped I'd wake up to a miracle turnaround...
ReplyDelete((((Kris))))
DeleteKris, you and me both!! I went to bed at 9:30 last night, disgusted and depressed.
DeleteI've run out of words.

DeleteHadn't cried until just now. But thanks.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow I'll pick myself up.
Even if we can't dance as beautifully as Fred and Ginger.
DeleteMay the rain gods favor you...just look what you can do with a little moisture!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhh...
DeleteWe are gardeners, and gardeners are strong and optimistic. We are patient (well, sometimes) planting a seed and rooting a cutting and waiting for it to grow. It is my hope we can wait this out with minimal damage and move from a dark winter into spring the way we always do.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed. Let the hope continue and the positive peaceful action commence.
DeleteThe pendulum will swing back someday, assuming the clock isn't broken in the meantime. Oh well, garden on.
ReplyDeleteZigs and zags, as our President said. Garden on!
DeleteIf i can't do
ReplyDeletewhat i want to do
then my job is to not
do what i don't want
to do
It's not the same thing
but it's the best i can
do
If i can't have
what i want . . . then
my job is to want
what i've got
and be satisfied
that at least there
is something more to want
Since i can't go
where i need
to go . . . then i must . . . go
where the signs point
through always understanding
parallel movement
isn't lateral
When i can't express
what i really feel
i practice feeling
what i can express
and none of it is equal
I know
but that's why mankind
alone among the animals
learns to cry

Ah, that's beautiful. Thank you, Tanya.
