Rosa 'Geranium Red'
If you think about it from the bee's perspective, their food sources are huge. A bee is many times smaller than a rose. If the same were true for humans, a pizza would be the size of a Cadillac Escalade. And what is teeny tiny to us is just right for a bee.
The tiny white stars of the Adromischus cristatus have opened, 400 mm wide:
And Fenestria rhophalophylla at 1" in diameter (2.5 cm):
I did not realize Salvia 'Indigo Spires' has a fuzzy lower lip. I never looked close enough:
The bees are all over these, all day long:
Plectranthus argentea is hopefully producing the seed for next year's copy:
It is not tiny and the bees have no interest in this Dahlia, but why do I pull it out every year and hope it doesn't come back? I must be crazy.
