After the pond was filled, I started up the bottom drain circuit.

but something was wrong. The normally near-silent pump roared like a leaf-blower. After consideration and consultation, I decided the pumps were accidentally reversed. Things happen. The Wave II pump was roaring because it was sucking air. The Wave II (7200 gph) belongs on the skimmer circuit, not the bottom drain circuit, and the Artesian (4200 gph) belongs on the bottom drain circuit. I am sure it will all be fixed tomorrow. In the mean time, we wait.
