CornerStone: Texture And Vista

Texture:  rust and grass
CornerStone

Vista:  sky, hill, converging on a symbolic human face:

Texture: steel and leaf
CornerStone

Vista:  framing the view
CornerStone

Texture:  sinuous grass...
CornerStone

...disciplined by concrete and stone...
CornerStone

...pushed to greater austerity when the grass is omitted...
CornerStone

...color almost forgotten...
CornerStone

...given the opportunity to emphasize view...
CornerStone

...and remember water has texture too.  Here it is black glass studded with leaves and, unintentionally perhaps, wood chips:

And texture and vista finally mixed together.  Stroke the silky grass, and gaze into many hearts:

This was how I viewed the place, noticing first this thing and then that, a wordless meditation walk from idea to idea, moment to moment, taken out of my ordinary cares, and given visions. Why are the churches of our age large, static, warehouse-like buildings, where one sits or stands or kneels, otherwise static?  Walk through a garden, and you are a pilgrim.
