This is the effect I am aiming for. Mine doesn't look any where near as good, though as my plants grow larger, my slope may improve. Should I add a few boulders? Perhaps with flat tops, carefully placed, boulders could act as stepping stones, creating a safe way to traverse the slope to weed.
It's going to take years before any of my Aloes look this spectacular:
My plants are all still youngsters.
The weirdly bluey-gooey color is because it was raining when I took these pictures
It's wise to leave space between plants, but I must endure negative space until the plants grow large.
Okay, that's it for Rancho Soledad pictures. Now, what do I blog about when it's pouring rain?
Ah but your slope actually looks darn good! Blink and they'll all be grown up soon enough.
ReplyDeleteOh about garden blogging in the rain...welcome to my world.
Really like these hillside treatments , and a big improvement from back in the day when I was a Socal-gal and it was iceplant all the way. As for what to blog about when it's raining ? This is a dilemma I might have all winter if Oct Nov and December are any indication.
