Now that I think about it, I did order a 'Jackmanii Superba' once upon a time. This might be it--or it might not be.
The tag was lost before the Clematis ever bloomed.
Whatever it might be, it has been a good grower here in my Southern California garden.
I sat for an hour last week, watching the flowers tremble and shiver in the breeze. It was most delightful.
Beautiful ! Jackmanii Superba = purple velvety blooms ! Maybe ! But she is wonderful anyway...
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous shade of purple! your photos are exquisite!
ReplyDeleteI was going to suggest Jackmanii Superba the moment I first saw you question this one's name. I have one as well and it looks quite the same. Almost never out of bloom from mid spring through frost. A real trouper. A plus… more shy clematis like to climb in it and peek out!
