So much is blooming in the garden there is more than I can possibly show. I thought I would focus on just a single flower, one of the Hippeastrum hybrids, which do beautifully here, outside, in the ground. Hippeastrums: they are not just cheap Christmas presents any more!
Oh beauty! Turn towards me,
reveal your luminous face! Your wide green eyes,
all your many aspects,
all your whims and
all your secrets!
Many thanks to May Dreams Gardens for this delightful meme!

Your photos are a poem by themselves. Lovely. It must be wonderful to see these blooming outside!
ReplyDeleteLovely bloom. Wish we could grow them in the garden. We have to grow them in pots indoors. Not the same effect at all.
ReplyDeleteThough they are hardy here as well, I have never been able to coax one into bloom.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! My Hppeastrum were devoured by the snails!
ReplyDeletePuzzling, Les. You would think if they can survive, they would bloom.
ReplyDeleteDorothy, I guess that is the one and only good thing about rats in our neighborhood--they love snails and slugs, and have wiped them out. Definite mixed blessing there...
Beautiful photos! What sort of camera do you use?
ReplyDeleteCan you add an email subscription option so I can follow your posts by email? Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteStarbreeze, I added email subscription option per your request...I think. I hope I did it right and that it actually works!
ReplyDeleteyour photos look so great!
ReplyDeleteDustin, I visited your blog and wanted to complement you on a honey of an apiary, but comments didn't work for me. Your bee-home is sweet!
