I Declare The Winter Project Complete

And it's not even summer yet!

The slope is now cleaned up, mulched, and planted with Carex testacaea seedlings and a few Agaves that like a bit of shade--attenuata 'Karas Choice', bracteosa, ellemeetiana, gypsophila, 'Streaker'--and some Echeveria offsets.

The Brugmansia stump is gone, the dirt pile is gone, the area is neatly mulched.  I moved 'Lions Rose' away from an engulfing Pittosporum 'Marjorie Channon' and into a decent amount of sunlight,

and nearby plants are now blooming.  Clematis 'Rhapsody':

Iris 'Cobra's Eye':

Hippeastrum 'Apple Blossom', once a single bulb, now eight, each with a bloom stem, each bloom stem with four or five large flowers.

I'm still missing the new 'Reed Avocado', but the spot is ready for it.  I declare the Winter Project complete (enough).  Now up the stairs, past 'Belinda's Dream',
Photobucket
to see what else the puppies have chewed up.
"No, no!  It wasn't me!  It was that other puppy!"
