Isn't it weird that the white stone classical lady statue appears to be checking her iPhone?
Rather than focus on the beautiful foliage of particular plants, here is a nearby garden that is mostly foliage due to its luxurious and glorious size. More than anything else, this is a garden of mature trees. I've blogged about this garden before, but another visit is sheer pleasure.

Citrus in pots, columns to echo the Italian Cypress

Just as good looking from the other direction:
In the shade of a decades-old Metrosideros:

That stone lady is still on her phone:

There's plenty of color in the understory plantings, but it isn't really necessary.

Paths echo tree trunks...

DeleteNo white fur, but the massing and forms really work in spite! Some of the foliage really brings how the Mediterranean climate nature of where you are...I will pretend I didn't notice the bougainvillea........
