Rosa 'Marilyn Monroe':
Two weeks ago, 'Marilyn Monroe' was completely defoliated from black spot. Her recovery was unexpectedly quick.
Also unexpected, I thought the Aloes were done until fall, but here is 'Cynthia Giddy', and my variegated x noblis has a first-ever spike emerging as well, yet to be photographed.
Aloe 'Cynthia Giddy':
Even more unexpected, though it should not have been: when baseboard gets boring, there's always the wall to chew on.
Wall-chewing will make you tired. Lay down and look adorably cute for a while.
Lick your brother, and make him look even cuter.
Grr..

Great photo's Hoover. I hope your puppy's won't destroy more in your house.
ReplyDeleteYour 'Marilyn' is a beauty. And those puppies are just adorable! Our dog chewed the sprinkler heads, and I had read somewhere to apply Vicks Vaporub to the surface that was being chewed. It didn't work for us though!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe those adorable pups have done that. Well, I can actually. I've got a wall exactly the same.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautifull rose !!!
ReplyDelete@marijke, I hope so, too!
ReplyDelete@Crystal, @Dorothy, glad to know I'm not the only one with chewing puppies.
@gwennie, thanks!
Do you suppose there is such a thing as puppy insurance ? Probably a high deductible though...
ReplyDeleteand black spot Hoover ??? I never saw it in person til I moved to Northern Cal..my sympathies. What a b-witch.
