"Look what I found!"
"No, Natasha! You can't have any!"
"It's--ewwww--yecch!--what is this thing?!? Better eat it, though. Make Natasha jealous..."
There are other oranges in the garden Boris hasn't been able to eat.
'Lady Emma Hamilton':
And a bit more burgundy than orange, but Boris isn't allowed to eat this either. Cordyline 'Festival Grass':
Taste--there's no accounting for it.

Gorgeous orange flowers and burgundy foliage. The photos of Boris are so cute, I wonder if he found the flavour as delicious as we would?

I think he enjoys everything he eats, just not in the same way we do. Making Natasha jealous is one of his favorite activities.
DeleteThere's always so much pink, I like seeing some orange, peach, apricot, and burgundy! Beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteYes there is a lot of pink, isn't there. Orange works so well here--I think it's my favorite.
DeleteI love your dogs, they are so much more photogenic than mine. Mind you so is you garden.
ReplyDeleteYour pup is cute, and much better behaved around plants. Beauty is as beauty does!
DeleteWell that is a new one on me. I've never heard of a dog eating an orange before. LOL Love those pictures. That cordyline is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea he would eat that. I didn't think he would eat all the baseboard in the kitchen, either. Isn't that Cordyline amazing? I love that plant.
DeleteIn that last pic Boris does look as though his taste buds belatedly connected with his brain. He is, of course, adorable even when signifying his distaste. I'm glad he steered clear of your other oranges.
ReplyDeleteI thought the taste would put him off, but I caught him stealing another one off the kitchen counter this morning!
DeleteI've never seen a dog eat oranges, but we used to have an Irish setter who liked to eat apple pie.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a dog eat oranges, either. And yes, the puppies ate an entire pie off the counter when we were not looking. I imagine your Setter was given permission!
DeleteOrange - my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteBoris is a hoot. Natasha doesn't know it, but she's probably much better off without the orange. Maybe you'll get her an orange collar and Boris will be jealous...
Boris gets jealous about everything, and Natasha would simply eat the collar. Puppies sure are fun!
DeleteSilly Boris! No sharing with Natasha? :(
ReplyDeleteLove the warm colors in your garden!
They fight over everything, just for fun!
