Off to the Garden Blogger's Fling in Portland, Oregon. My sister's whole crew will be here to house, koi, and Samoyed sit.
Bursera species:
The Fling is three days of non-stop garden tours, nursery visits, and intensive plant-yakking--ahem--botanical discussions.
Leucadendron salignum 'Blush'
I'll leave the blog and the computer alone for a few days.
Aloe thraskii and Maireana sedifolia
Happy July gardening!
Echinopsis hybrid
See you in Portland!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to meeting you, Alan!
DeleteOh, you have such a beautiful Echinops!
ReplyDeleteI love that plant. It is a souvenir from a trip to Tucson, Arizona.
DeleteHave fun! Post lots of pictures when you get back!
ReplyDeleteI will. Maybe too many pictures!
DeleteThat Maireana sedifolia is just lovely. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
ReplyDeleteA great plant--don't understand why it isn't more popular. Will be great to see you again, Jane!
DeleteWith all the posts about it, sounds like it is going to be an amazing few days.
ReplyDeleteLove the Bursera
I wish I knew what species the Bursera is--apparently there are a bunch of natural hybrids so it can be hard to tell.
DeleteDid you get the pot in the 2nd photo at the South Coast garden show this past May? It looks similar in style to one I picked up. I wish I'd bought more.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time at the Fling! I look forward to seeing your posts upon your return.
I got the pot at the Huntington C&S show two or three years ago. My nephew said it looked like bark beetle trails in pine trees. Hey! I think I've got him indoctrinated as a future gardener!
DeleteCan't wait to meet you in person. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteLikewise! I think we're all really looking forward to this.
DeleteBeautiful images! Have a great time at Fling... Wish I could go
ReplyDeleteWish you could go too, Deanne, it would be nice to meet you.
DeleteBeautiful images from your garden dear Hoover. Sounds wonderful, have a great time in Oregon!

Thank you, Dianne!
DeleteWell dang! I missed out on meeting you...how did that happen? Hope you enjoyed our fair city.
ReplyDelete15 gardens and a publishing house plus a banquet, over three days via buses with free plants, purchased plants, prizes, traffic jams, 97F weather and rain--d'ya think that had anything to do with it? We did manage to chat a bit, but I never found time to properly introduce myself!
DeleteWasn't it fun? I had a blast! :^)
