Wednesday Vignette: The Dahlias To Rest

Wire loops stripped of withered stems, because the Dahlias
to rest, to sleep, did their blooming cease.
One stem remains, one flower weeps
 a dewdrop.

Flutter and Hum hosts Wednesday Vignettes.

  1. Dahlias put a smile on anyones face, that's for sure, especially my wifes. She loves the yellow ones. Who doesn't?

  2. Are Dahlias done blooming there? I would have thought they would go a while longer. Nice shot, I love Dahlias, especially the single ones like yours.

    1. They shut down slowly because we get no frost, but they are pretty much done in November. Bits of new growth don't do much. They start earlier here--May--so it's a long season.
