Awww! I'm impressed that Boris is up for playing ball even in the heat. I identify more with Natasha. I hope it's not too bad out your way. We just passed the 100F mark and the air quality has been terrible since since the Sherpa fire's smoke and ash blew in our direction.
It's 100 here also. I am sorry to hear about your air quality--smoke is very bad.
Boris was ready to quit today after a couple of throws. No more ball tossing until Tuesday at the earliest. Many plants drooping. All the beautiful Fuchsias in dire condition, went out and misted them with a fine spray in hopes of keeping them alive through tomorrow. Good luck with your plants.
Love this! Are the poppies volunteers or are you an expert seed layer? Growing up, a neighbor had a Samoyed, Sheba. Lovely dog with the most amazing eyelashes! I lived on what we call the 'north shore' so a bit more in her native element. Natasha must be trying to imagine ice and snow! Hit about 105 yesterday...

DeleteI love these photos. Great puppies and my favorite poppy.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteIt's a great poppy. I wish I could grow some of the ones that need cooler springs, but the Hunnemannia is a nice substitute.
Such gorgeous puppies! The poppies are lovely too. They must get so warm in summer with those thick luscious coats.
ReplyDeleteWe are careful keep them cool in the summer.
DeleteThey exploit their beauty at every opportunity!

ReplyDeleteThose are all volunteer plants. I don't know how they ended up in that crack.
DeleteThe puppies love colder weather. They bounce around when it is chilly, which isn't very often!
