I wasn't thinking of the flowers when adding Crassula pubescens ssp. radicans as companion to Agave 'Joe Hoak', but the flower colors agree perfectly with 'Joe's foliage. An inadvertently happy accident.

Beautiful! Are these already the real flowers of the Crassula or many little buds who still are going to open pale pink?
ReplyDeleteThe open flowers are white. They create a little sparkle!
DeleteJoe is such a good garden player.
ReplyDeleteDarn right!
DeleteI love that Crassula too! The red foliage color also makes it a nice companion to Agave 'Blue Glow'.
ReplyDeleteAh, I have to try some with Blue Glow now!
DeleteWhat's not to love about a happy accident? They are such gifts! :)
ReplyDeleteYes they are gifts and it is one of the joys of the garden that they are plentiful!
DeleteThis is my favorite stage in the blooming of so many things...must have something to do with the idea of "promise"(?)
