A fresh blanket of mulch makes everything pop even more. Boris and Natasha did a lot of work spreading mulch for you! How did you train them to do that?
Fresh mulch is a wonderful thing. The photos of your furry friend are too cute! Especially the last one. Such a self-satisfied look. "Haha, I haz ball. Iz mah ball."
That's a great way to break up the back-breaking work of mulching! I distributed my mulch a few months ago, although I've been spreading bagged compost as a supplement at intervals recently. Unfortunately, Pipig the cat isn't at all helpful breaking up the action.
I wish I'd done it back in March, but March was too sunny. I'm very late this year--catching up on a whole lot of stuff after our blessedly rainy winter.
That's a lot of mulch. You guys never slow down, lol. I need some mulch, too, but it's not quite enough to warrant paying for delivery. So I'm getting it in bags, slowly.
It's a tough call between the greater convenience of bagged and paying for delivery. Back just after we moved here delivery was cheap so it was a great deal. Now the delivery costs as much as the mulch. The mulch has gone up $2/yard but the delivery has doubled. It's still quite a lot less than bagged.
Bagged I can take my time; pile, I have to hustle to get it off the street so the neighbors don't get annoyed about a pile of stuff on the street (though they don't seem to mind a few days as they like the garden).

And not a muddy paw in sight.. :)
ReplyDeleteCertainly not. Mud requires water. We have plenty of dirt, though.

ReplyDeleteBribery. (I bribed them to take a long nap and stay safely out from underfoot.)
