Wednesday Vignette: Squirrel Joke

The puppies seemed melancholy yesterday.  I thought Dug's joke from the movie "Up" might cheer them.

"A squirrel walks up to a tree and says "I forgot to store acorns for winter, and now I am dead."

"It is funny because the squirrel gets dead!"
Ruff ruff snort grrrruff snort wag wag!  (Translation from Dog:  Bwaah ha ha ha haaaaaaah!!).

Boris and Natasha love squirrel jokes where the squirrel gets dead.

  2. They really do look like they're laughing. Do squirrels often taunt them?

  5. They look like a tough crowd in the first pic, but you clearly *killed*. I'm guessing rain is what made them mopey and put you in a joking mood...

No, no, this is California we're talking here. Rain puts us all in a good mood.

    2. Yes indeed! We've been getting some, Diane, a few mm at a time...we're up to around 98 mm for the season (since October 1) and predicted for tomorrow maybe as much as 50 mm (but probably 25 mm). So, it's been a happy March. :) I hope your rain situation has improved also.

The only down side is the burn area of Santa Barbara county, where much heavier rain is predicted (200-400-600 mm!) 30,000 people evacuated for fear of rock and mudslides.

  7. Such handsome fur babies. I can imagine them after the squirrels in your garden. Annie likes them dead too. I will have to tell her your joke.

    1. Those fur babies know how good looking they are, and exploit it at every opportunity.

      Hope Annie enjoys the joke!
