We've been in Austin, Texas for the 10th Garden Blogger's Fling. Yes, it was awesome. There are 2,468 photos to go through (including the ones of the goat), so just a teaser for you this post.
Plants discussed and debated (it was a Nolina)...
...some unexpected rain (the Californians were relishing it, the Portlanders were sighing)...
...much dreamy garden beauty...
...minimalist contemporary gardens...
...exuberant colorful ones...
...new friendships created...
...and nurtured...
...and plants, plants, plants!
Much more soon, including the goat.

Wow! Looks like the fling was a smashing success and I can't wait to see your posts. Sorry I missed it.
ReplyDeleteIt was a lot of fun. Sorry you missed it also, but school is still in session?
DeleteLooking forward to your Fling posts! I followed a lot of people avidly on Instagram over the weekend, and now I'm waiting for some blog posts to start appearing. Great shot of the reciprocal bunny ears. Looks like you had fun.
ReplyDeleteLots of photos to go through. It was very fun indeed.
DeleteWas following the photos on Facebook, it looked so much fun!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of Facebook but have never got around to it.
DeleteSaw you at the LB airport on the curb! A great fling, so good to see everyone.
ReplyDeleteYes it was!
DeleteWelcome home! I was impressed when you posted you were going, because this Fling was so large; 90-plus people is a lot to handle, even people as congenial as garden bloggers. These shots have me eager for more, particularly the last one: was that pre-deluge Wildflower Center or especially showy roadside?
ReplyDeleteDidn't really get to meet everyone I would have liked to. That last photo is the Wildflower Center, yes. Barely got to see anything there. I stuck close to the buildings because before it began to pour rain there was lightning--which caused me to seek shelter.
DeleteTantalising - would love to see that (without the lightning!)
DeleteI'm looking forward to seeing your and everyone else's unique take on the Fling! It was great to meet everyone in person, and so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWas nice to finally meet you, Renee. Glad you had a great time!
DeleteI saw the goat, but just briefly...never made it over to say hi. Look forward to your photos!
ReplyDeleteAs goats go, it was a nice one.
DeleteI can't wait to read all about your trip. I know you had fun.
ReplyDeleteMust get though these photos. I've worked on about 50 so far...
DeleteWe had so much fun! It was nice to meet you and so many wonderful bloggers from all over. I love that photo of opinionated me in the midst of our rooftop debate. Look forward to your posts.
ReplyDeleteLikewise! A lot of those debates were going on though out the Fling. Part of the fun!
DeleteAnd here I thought I took a lot of photos! I saw the goat but missed taking his photo. It was good to spend some time with you. Let's get together again soon!
ReplyDeleteYes, lets!
DeleteA lovely teaser - I look forward to seeing more. Thanks so much for coming to Austin. It was great to see you!
ReplyDeleteLikewise! Great fling, and so enjoyed seeing your garden in person.
DeleteThanks for all the effort, I know it must have been a whole lot of work. I've been involved in doing a half-day a garden tour with 5 gardens, and it was an incredible effort. The Fling must be 50 times the work.
I even petted the goat, overcoming a personal aversion to farm animals, lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat sharing this adventure with you!
I did not pet the goat. I missed out!
