Wednesday Vignette: Come To Me My Darling

Come to me my darling, and I'll give you a loving squeeze!
There should be a plant vignette as well--because this is a garden blog, not a Boris blog--a current plant darling, Lomandra 'Platinum Beauty'.  Planted almost exactly a year ago,  it was quite small.
Last November
This November, her beauty waving in the wind
Not an aggressive grower, but not sitting there, either.  No fertilizer given, but excellent soil and some moisture in that spot.
Wednesday vignette is a garden bloggers meme;  see Flutter and Hum for links to more.

Okay, so it's a bit of a Boris blog, too.
Action shot
 Inaction shot.
Natasha too, of course.  Waiting for the wind to go away.

  1. Boris and Natasha deserve some on-line attention too! I love that Lomandra too. I now have 4 of these and they've all been utterly trouble-free, even during this very dry year.

    1. Very pleased with PB as well, and two plants don't seem to be enough.

  2. They're all platinum beauties! (That is a *most* appealing image of the Lomandra.)

  3. Action so delicate like a ballet dancer en pointe.

  4. Natasha and Boris are beautiful! How do they fare in the summer heat? And that lomandra is much prettier than others I've seen.

    1. I work at keeping the house cool during the day by getting the coolest night air indoors and keeping it in during the day, shading the windows, and so forth. When it is unbearably hot, air conditioned comfort. When you are that good looking, people do things for you.

I think 'Platinum Beauty' may well be the pick of the Lomandra litter.

  5. I saw a man walking a Samoyed on newport the other day. He was wearing a Tulane sweatshirt, could it have been Boris or Natasha? Maybe they have friends in the area! I always get excited when I see another ridgeback. My dog does not share in that sentiment...

    1. No, we never get over there. I have seen one on Newport, yes! Maybe the same one. Would have pulled over to talk if it had been safe, but, Newport speedway, ya know?

Neighbor around the bend had a ridgeback...I think they moved a few years ago.

Oh yes, the Platinum Beauty is nice too. ;)

    1. He's a darling boy. One of his nicknames is Mr. Snuggles. We're very careful about keeping them cool and comfortable in hot weather.
