Many of my blog posts this winter were tagged "Let's Get Irrationally Happy About Rain!". Looking around at this year's start to springtime beauty, which exists thanks to all that wonderful rain, was I really being irrational?
More Vignettes today at Flutter And Hum. Happy Spring!
NOT AT ALL!!! The last couple of storms passed my area by and it looks as though that's happened with the storm that blew in late last night too, although as long as there are clouds in the sky I remain hopeful. Is that irrational? Yes, probably.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your area might get some this morning. I wish you raindrops soon! My area got nothing yesterday, also looks iffy today. However at least it is cool and overcast. Very comfortable to be outside in that.
DeleteYou’ve earned high marks from me for continuing to appreciate the rain. So many others in your state have not.
ReplyDeleteI'm completely baffled about a wish for endless hot dry weather to return. Our dry season is so long...
DeleteI have seen photos of the desert super bloom on IG - it looks blooming amazing!!! Water is life, and I'm so glad you have gotten so much of it after so many years of going without. And I love that you have the good sense to appreciate it! It is indeed a precious resource. You've gotten more of it that we have up here in Oregon this winter, which almost scares me a little. Maybe the CA drought is moving up north...? Crazy, but I actually watered the garden the other day... That's not normally a common sight in March.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear your winter was dry. Hopefully not too dry. Maybe I just really like rain. We got .22" yesterday, not a lot, but thrilling to me. Collected as much as possible to give a few plants an extra soak. The plants respond, even to a small amount.
DeleteSilver and gold glory!
ReplyDeleteLove those Leucospermums! So do the bees and hummers. :)
