Lovely dahlias. Can't beat the colour combinations and varied shapes of them. Am anxiously awaiting blooms from mine. Always a bit of a crap shoot here to see if they will all flower before the first frost.

ReplyDeleteThey make summer more bearable with their brilliant color. Most everything else is bleached out by the hot sun.
DeleteHope you get some beautiful Dahlia flowers this year.
Fantastic photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nell. Dahlias are photogenic--it's fun to take their pictures.
DeleteBeautiful dahlias and stunning photos of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for having a look at the photos. Glad you liked them.
DeleteThe dahlia one in the first (and last) photo looks as though it was painted. Do you have record of its name?
ReplyDeleteThat's 'Catching Fire'. The "brushmark" effect reminds me ofsome Osteospermum flowers.
DeleteExquisite photos Hoov !
ReplyDeleteSuch a comment coming from such a great photographer, I am happy and grateful!
DeleteWOW, great photos!
ReplyDeleteDitto of answer to ks! Thanks
DeleteThese photos are quite dreamy. Well done. Makes me wish dahlias were on my radar. I never think to grow them.
ReplyDeleteThanks, they are such beautiful flowers and withstand summer weather! Easy-peasy here as we don't have to dig them up for the winter.
