Photo #3 is Acacia glaucoptera, a very very difficult plant to find; K was looking for the prostrate form which a friend of hers had. Strangely, I saw the non-prostrate form at Lowe's of all places, and got her one there. Gerhard has the prostrate form. A very attractive plant. The tips of the leaves color up to burgundy/bronze/purple at different times of the year.

Wow! Who knew that Hippeastrum and Agave 'Joe Hoak' would make such lovely companions? What's the plant in photo #3?
ReplyDeleteAs to the "Lord Over All He Surveys", that's not a stink-eye look but rather that feline equivalent of a "resting b**ch face." ;) My best to K.
There should always be an Agave, right?

Thanks for the kitty facial expression ID!
So beautiful and so many different colours! Loving the cat :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful, isn't it? Beautiful kitty and he takes excellent care of his staff, too.
DeleteHa! I had to laugh (spit my coffee) at Kris' interpretation of the kitty stink-eye. Thanks for the visit to K's, always a welcome treat!
ReplyDeleteMe too, and a treat for me, too.
DeleteThat photo of the plants in the blue pot almost looks like a botanical drawing to me. Had a lovely time here today.
ReplyDeleteHappy you did! :)
DeleteAnother beautiful garden. You are lucky that that the Lord of the garden allowed you into his realm.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised His Highness allowed me to photograph him--what did I do right?
DeleteBeautiful, even if I don't recognize any of the plants!
ReplyDeleteVery much a xeric garden. Any plant that requires a lot of moisture simply won't grow there--very different from Chicago!
DeleteUntil we talk K into starting a blog, your posts of her garden are the next best thing!
ReplyDeleteI'll tell K you said that.
DeleteI've only been to K's garden in the winter and I thought it was stunning then. But with all these flowers, WOW!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's WOW!
DeleteYes, I am smiling, thanks for the glorious tour!
