  1. Oh gosh, that's such a difficult choice! I love them all. As a hummingbird lover, I'd have to pick one of those, and the last one has such beautiful movement to it. But you can't go wrong with any of them. :)

    1. #1.Stunning photo and it’s something different for the cover
      #2. Second choice

Since the fold is dead center on the picture, that has to be considered too.

  2. They're all wonderful, HB, but I'm in love with the first one with the backlit leaf and the hummer taking a moment to survey the world around her. The composition is perfect.

  3. All gorgeous but my first choice would be #1 as it is really eye-catching and my second would be #5. Maybe you can do more than one cover?

    1. Thank you! One cover might be confusing for members ("Are we supposed to get two? I only got one.") but I wish I could do multiples.

  4. A hard decision as they are all excellent. My favorites are #1 and #7.

  5. I vote for the first but I also very much like the last.

  6. I agree that all would be appropriate yet the last one has more plants and color that might appeal to a club as a whole.

  7. I would choice #1 also for the same reasons as Kris Peterson. But they are all excellent!

    1. Thank you, Nancy. Dear Husband took #1. What I like about it besides that and the lighting are the bird's tiny tiny little feet.

    2. Yes those tiny little feet. Brings to mind Headly Lamarr's immortal line in "Blazing Saddles": "How did he [Douglas Fairbanks] do such fantastic stunts...with such little feet"? ;^)

    3. Man, that wonderful movie is so full of excellent throwaway lines and tiny incidental gags. Loaded from top to bottom with talent, just overstuffed...

    4. Nell, It's twoooh! It's twoooh!

  8. Go with your gut feeling - the one you chose to put first, is your favourite.
Such a dramatic image, with vivid colour, and a bird - what more could we want.

  9. All lovely, but for me #6 is the most unique and interesting.

    1. Thank you, dsk. A very dramatic Bromeliad I saw at a garden center.

  10. Love them all but my choices (in order) #7, #4, #1. Hummers get me every time!

    1. Amazing birds. So lucky to have them in the garden.

  11. They say children steal movie scenes. I think hummingbirds do as well. Photo #1 is magical.

  12. I'm with the majority: #1 is the winner for me. Someone mentioned the fold, and that would make #1 an even better image for the intended use.
That said, they are all wonderful photos!

  13. Thank to all very much for your help!

    #1 it will be.

  14. Hands down the first one! What a great shot with amazing lighting. The others are good too, but that one truly grabbed me!

  15. If it weren't for the fold, I'd choose that stunning bromeliad, #6. But #1 seems just built for the job. They're all a joy to see.

    1. The fold...there's always something. Thanks, Nell!
