Cute! I had 3 trick-or-treaters, all under the age of 4 if I'm a reliable judge. That's more than I've had most years since we moved here. I just pulled chocolate mints I had in the cupboard to hand out. Each child politely took just a single wrapped mint - and the 4 parents accompanying them thanked me for answering the door.
Perfect! I hope you had a Happy Halloween. Though we were cold here, we had more trick-or-treaters than we usually do. Most of them were teenagers, and they were very polite and well-behaved. I went through most of my candy, which is a good thing. Happy November!
We had a fair amount of trick-or-treaters this year, the first since we moved here over three years ago. It was nice. I'm glad to see the little ones celebrating Halloween again. I remember how much fun we had when I was a kid. The door to the annual holiday rollercoaster has just been flung open. Hang on to your hats (and your wallets!). Elizabeth
That makes for an easy smile. Like Mr Potato Head, but with better hair. We never get trick-or-treaters here out in the boonies, but just spent some time with a couple near San Francisco who claim that they had about 1,300 people in their neighborhood trick-or-treating in the space of about three hours. Sounds nightmarish.

ReplyDeleteChocolate mints, yum! They must have been happy to visit your house!
DeleteWe don't get T&Ters here--no street lights, hilly with sharply turning roads, and no sidewalks. Here and there some fun decorations, though.
It's hilarious!
ReplyDeleteIs Dasylirion facing the street so everyone walking by can have a chuckle?
Chavli
Yes, facing the street. The neighbors across the street who can see it clearly liked it a lot and asked me to leave it.
DeleteLove your Dasylirion. Subtle but effective.
ReplyDeleteA smile for the keen-eyed. :)
DeletePerfect! No trick-or-treaters this year for us. Odd.
ReplyDeleteNeighborhood or civic party instead?

ReplyDeleteIt is fun to see the kids--they can be very cute. We just don't have the neighborhood for it.
DeleteYes, the holidays. Oh, joy. Dreading the Christmas music at the grocery store.
Cute! I like the plant with its head full!
ReplyDeleteA little whimsy. :)
DeleteHa ha ha aha ha !!!

ReplyDeleteUnquestionably better hair than Mr. Potato Head! :) 1300 TorTers in SF, sounds normal for SF.
DeleteThis is soooooo good! Where did you get the oversized googly eyes?
ReplyDeleteAmazon.
