Sigh.  I hate heat waves.

  1. I'm so sorry. I'm sure that's not the only plant that suffered. It's hard to take what nature dishes out sometimes.

    1. And the garden critters, too. The urn bird-bath was really popular.

  2. Me too! It reached 92F here yesterday and today's looking as though it will be very much the same. I put in a few hours in the garden yesterday and was literally soaked in sweat. Our irrigation system ran on Wednesday and I did spot watering on Thursday but a lot of flowers fried anyway. Ugh!

    1. I watered and put all the small potted plants in full shade. Today a lot of deadheading of toasted roses. Oh well!

    1. Three days: 90, 97, 87. It was tough for plants with all new foliage and lots of new growth and spring-sized (extra large) flowers. I was worried about the Acers but they seem okay.

  4. Yes, I hate heatwaves too. I think you've perfectly captured how quickly it can shorten bloom time.
